She just stood in the balcony staring at the rainbow, while he kissed her shoulder and stood beside her, holding her tightly, warming her up on a cold rainy evening.

It was all that was there to it, to that moment, there wasn’t an epic story to entertain everyone, but just a fleeting sense of comfort to be felt, to be kept sacred within your heart.

While the radio in the background played another old song, requested by a girl sitting in a big city far away from these mountains, wishing to be walking upon those lush slopes.

And she realised while standing in the balcony that some stories are like that, broken without completion, just randomly appearing like wildflowers in the jungle, without any rule, just popping wherever, and if you’re busy finding reason, you’ll miss them.

So you just enjoy them, exist with them in the moment.

Just like she existed, with that rainbow above the mountains, in the cozy arms of her lover, and with that song on the radio, requested by some girl in some city.

For sometimes that’s all what’s there to this life, the simple moments, and a mere acceptance of this simplicity.
