I’m 24/7 moist with frizzy hair and rocking around in hot pants and sports bras to keep cool - it’s actually a full on challenge to get dressed but there’s no way I’d skip gym! I guess England isn’t usually this hot and muggy, us country girls are used to fresh air and a cool breeze but I’m not complaining, it’s nice to have some sun considering all travel plans are on hold for the foreseeable future - another surprise from 2020, the year of such extreme spontaneity and change. It’s been 5 months now since the world changed because of Covid and to start with each day seemed like a milestone, now I don’t even know what day it is anymore! Almost half a year in and look at how different we all are, how blissfully ignorant we once were that life and freedom were a given; I wonder what you would give to go back to how things were? Or have you adjusted to this new life and growth and would never look back at what was? Personally it’s given me time to focus on myself and family as I never had enough time before, I was always in a rush, overloaded with responsibility, deadlines and demands. I think I’m far calmer now, far more in control of my life and the choices that I make. I sleep better, stress less and feel the most at peace that I’ve ever been - I hope you do too. I have several butterflies tattooed up my thigh which you may have seen, they remind me that when the caterpillar thinks the world is ending a beautiful butterfly emerges to begin it’s journey.
