National Geographic Travelさんのインスタグラム写真 - (National Geographic TravelInstagram)「Photo by @daisygilardini During my recent trip to Costa Rica I had the great opportunity to visit a rehabilitation center. Rescue centers are of great importance in highly populated areas where animals get injured because of human activity. Every animal brought to the @ToucanRescueRanch is provided treatment, with the ultimate goal of returning it to its natural habitat. I spent two days at the ranch, and I was impressed by the professionalism and dedication of the people who work at the clinic and rehab center. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release Costa Rican wildlife while focusing on conservation, education, and research. I immediately fell in love with Camila, a two-toed sloth found on a tree all by herself a year ago. She was probably weaned too early by her mother. She was brought to the rehab center to be fed and get bigger before being released into the wild.
