The sudden disappearance of tourists and the income they generate is putting many Florentines in serious trouble. Without the unsustainable masses of tourists who overwhelmed Florence, however, the city is revealing its pure beauty both to the locals and to the few tourists who are now coming back. They are free to visit Florence’s treasures without the hassle of long lines and big crowds and get to enjoy a glimpse of authentic daily life.
