Photo by @KristaRossow Last summer while visiting Germany, I struck out on a hike to visit the King's House on Schachen, one of King Ludwig II of Bavaria's commissions. It can only be reached by a multihour hike. The day was a perfect blend of two of my passions: being outdoors and exploring museums. I arrived just in time for one of the few daily tours at the Schachen house.
