The diffuse band of light near the middle is zodiacal light, the reflecting sunlight from asteroid dust in the solar system, only visible far from large cities. Where the last colors of twilight merge with the setting Milky Way, right on top of the clouds, bright planets Venus and Jupiter are in conjunction.
