A blank wall I had hoped would be full of possibility for change. Now I’ve moved out of the apartment and back into the street. Actually right across the street. There’s something about this urban background. The gate and lock are like the limitations that are still restricting what I can do and where I can go. A neighborhood kid giving it a nice pop of pink tho. Optimism. I’ve been wearing a great deal of the color blue this summer. All hues from this pale baby to a bold cobalt. Blue is said to have a calming effect on the mind and body. It invokes rest, coolness and is thought to help with balance. Things I must do to get through the long hot summer and early fall of living on hold. Things I must do to manage what I read each day in the news. I think I love Blue right now because it invokes a wide open sky, imagination and possibility. It makes me look up. It promises expansion after a long contraction. That’s what I like about this suit, it let’s me move and stretch however I want or need to. I’m ready to take off when I wear it. So I’ll probably keep doing blue until my world opens up again.
