My GF found out she is pregnant 🤰 and we were laughing because I told her I had got my body right where I wanted it prior to pregnancy. (Swipe left) I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism so I had to stop competing. They kept telling me to stop training and take a break but I wouldn’t listen. Around that same time I removed my IUD and while I was waiting for the new one to come in SURPRISE Giovanni took its place 😂  I went from 130 to 200lbs with Giovanni. I worked out and ate healthy but I still put on 70 pounds. I love being pregnant and really embraced it and tried to show women how beautiful the transformation could be. Trying to show more women that a healthy pregnancy is so important for you and your baby and isn’t defined by weight.  I worked out at the gym and I meal prepped. I also did yoga and I went to spin classes all the way up to my 8th month on the 9th month my Dr. had enough and put me on bed rest. Giovanni came late at 42 weeks so bedrest was a mistake. It’s that old mentality that pregnant women should stay in bed and eat. Smh  My last pregnancy was amazing. I do not want more kids I’m beyond done. But I love supporting the community of mommies I have. If I could give you advice I would say listen to your body. Get a doula or midwife I used one and still went to a hospital but she saved me and really advocated for me during childbirth. Don’t listen to random people saying you shouldn’t work out and just eat whatever you want, as much as you want. Be aware what you eat your baby gets too. (Meaning living on hot Cheetos as a craving excuse isn’t good lol) Stay active if possible, keep your stress levels low your baby feels everything you do. Don’t stress about stretch marks or weight you are beautiful my love. Enjoy your pregnancy and remember when it comes to weight it’s 9 months on and 9 months off be patient with your body.  This is my journey always seek advice from your doctor if you are unsure. All women are different and our needs are not the same.
