And a lot of work. And commitment. And patience. A garden thrives when you tend to it daily. You can’t just throw some seed in the ground, walk away and expect a bountiful harvest to come. No. It requires daily watering and work, dismantling and weeding, attention and care. And the Sunshine. Some moments the garden requires much more, but that does not negate the need of daily tending if a great harvest comes forth. And don’t worry, it will come if you stay faithful to the work, and it will show for itself. In our lifetime of the every day, I hope we all tend to the garden of our hearts and of our humanity well, not just in the past week, but for life, and that we keep our momentum steady day in and day out. . ^ This is in reference to what I am learning about dismantling racist systems, white supremacy, and how it has conditioned us starting with the heart. I’m new to this. Perhaps some of you are too.
