Now I find myself exploring even further with these mediums and have discovered that I very much enjoy practicing various landscape paintings, something that was once a bit intimidating to me. I have no formal training with landscape watercoloring, and for now, I prefer an unadulterated hands-on learning of it all from how the paint responds to various paper, to what happens when I mix certain colors, and figuring it out without influence or hindrance. When I familiarize myself with it more I might then dip into an online workshop. We’ll see. For now this is purely a hobby of discovery, wonder and having fun. And I love having different notebooks for this. Today I used a watercolor passport insert that fits in my VN Pocket. Sometimes the smaller pocket size notebooks are perfect for little bouts of creative release rather than having to fill up a bigger page. . . Have any of you picked up any new hobbies lately?
