The NBA 2019-2020 season is tentatively set to resume on July 30th at Walt Disney World (ESPN Wide World Of Sports complex) in Florida! The 22 teams eligible to play include both the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies, so this is exciting news for the Japanese fans as well.

Due to the pandemic, the season was suspended back in March, and countless discussions took place to carefully plan if/when it would be possible to start the season back up again. Since I've been unable to report and cover the playoffs onwards that I was scheduled to, I've been watching a lot of basketball films lately waiting for the official announcement. The remainder of the season will be drastically different in many ways (such as without fans, strict precautions, etc.), but moving forward in a positive direction will provide us strength and hope during this time.✨ I truly wish all forms of sports, art, businesses, academics, etc. will gradually be able to resume activities and that we all continue to stay safe and connected.
NBA 2019-2020シーズンの再開日が7月30日、フロリダのウォルト・ディズニー・ワールドで開催予定と発表されました✨ まだ様々な調整が必要ですが参加可能とされた22チームには八村塁選手が所属のウィザーズと、2-wayプレイヤー渡邊雄太選手のグリズリーズも含まれていますので、日本の方々も楽しみが倍増です。
3月11日からシーズンが中断となり、プレーオフでの現地リポートの予定もキャンセルとなっていた中、過去のスーパープレー映像などを見てウズウズしていました。今までにない形となる無観客での新たなNBAとなる様ですが、私たちに再び勇気と希望を与えてくれることでしょう✊✨ これから全てのスポーツ、そして様々なジャンルの活動が日常に戻り、私たちも普通にそれを心から楽しめる日が早く来る事を願うばかりです。
