From the archives, here’s a little glimpse into the glamour of wildlife photography… getting caught in a sudden downpour in Thailand while building a canopy platform to film hornbills near a fruiting fig tree. Why didn’t I go down? I decided to wait it out so I could finish the platform and blind and be ready to film there the next morning. In the video you also see another canopy resident waiting out a rain shower on another day. It’s a female Helmeted Hornbill in her nest cavity.
