I had another fun morning photographing my local Eastern Bluebirds. Both the male (shot 1) and the female (shot 2) are busy delivering food to the chicks. Yesterday, I mostly saw small caterpillars. Today, bigger prey like spiders (shot 3) and grasshoppers. The kids must be growing fast. When they arrived at the same time, they would take turns going in (shot 4). To get shots like this without disturbing nesting birds, it’s critical to use a blind and keep your distance. I use the excellent ones with photographer specific features from @TragopanBlinds (shot 5).
