I wanted to share another video from our recent Antarctica voyage: This one by @RussLaman. We had this encounter with Humpback Whales along the Antarctic Peninsula. A group of at least four whales surface right next to our ship, and stayed there for many minutes, making “trumpeting” calls (sound on!) as they exhaled. It was an unbelievable experience to be so close to these massive creatures, and good to see so many of them in Antarctic waters. Humpback Whales are a conservation success story in Antarctic, where since the end of commercial whaling, their numbers have increased dramatically. Follow us to see more @RussLaman and @Tim Laman!
