Stacked in racks, the cloth is misted, saving on water when compared to traditional farming. With this closed system, pesticides are left out of production altogether, while nutrients and fertilizers are delivered with precision where needed. One goal for this kind of facility is reducing food waste by optimizing production based on need and trimming the distribution chain.
