Sunday morning 👑 feeling better today. Some days to be quite frank, I’ve woken up and I have been looking forward to the evening because it would mean another day has passed.
The last 2 weeks between my first surgery, coming home, then my second, I’ve been under strict orders to do nothing; to sleep as much as possible and my movement is really limited. I know that this will be a bumpy road mentally and physically. Everything is kind of flipped upside down in all of our worlds right now. Our framework of “normalcy” is back to its basic foundation and we need to build something stronger. That’s how my body feels, too, but I am writing each day and learning to take more time to meditate, appreciate the small wins, and keep a gratitude journal. Today, three things I am grateful for are: the love in my life around me right now, the house that we have made a home, and the team of people that are working with me through this so that I will be stronger. -
Nutrition and mental health are tied together just like nutrition and physical health. I am really focusing on nourishing my body well during this time (well, even more so during this time) because I know that while I am not physically able to do much, my body is working really hard for me to heal. @kbellnutrition with @レッドブル has been such a great help on all the education with which macro percentages I should be targeting, timing, super foods to focus on, etc; but also what to take out of my diet at this time as my body struggles to adjust. -
