To begin with it was a shock, I felt as though my freedom had been taken away from me without my permission which I’d imagine nobody would like. But aside from knowing this quarantine is helping to save lives of those most vulnerable, there are many other benefits. I’ve been a single parent since the age of 19 and had a heavy heart for the choice of raising my children alone and never having money or working ridiculously long hours to support them by myself whilst they’re in childcare and sacrificing my precious time with them. Fortunately after working long hours and juggling childcare I found a middle ground to work from home as a journalist and fitness influencer which gave me the best of both worlds - time with my children and the ability to financially support my family whilst doing something that I genuinely love and live by - health and fitness. Home schooling my children in quarantine was initially more pressure on top of working from home, but now it’s our focus group, positive communal growth time and a way to see first-hand the progress my children make everyday and I’m so very proud and amazed by them - young minds are so inspiring. What would have been two different worlds of school versus work are now the heart of our home. Our time together is incredible, our understanding and conscientiousness immeasurable and we’ve never been more at ease as a team and in as great a flow as we are now. A disjointed life with everybody pulled in a million directions is now a fluid togetherness which I am incredibly grateful for. We sing, cook together, eat together, learn together and relax together all day everyday and it’s a blessing we never knew could exist. Life is what you make it my darlings, you can live the same way forever and make the same mistakes time and time again or you can adjust, rethink, change and embrace difference - look up to the blue skies and healing world around us and be thankful for this opportunity to start over 🙏🏼 #quarantinelife #quarantinewithkids #singleparent #workethic #lifeiswhatyoumakeit」4月26日 18時17分
