Why? Because I doubted myself? Because others who don’t know me criticised me and told me that I couldn’t do it? One day I told myself I could and I should because I am worth it! Everytime I felt like saying “no thanks” I said “yes please” instead. To start off with I was petrified, I craved the security and familiarity of all I’d ever known rather than the danger and darkness of the unknown. But with every step I took forward the bigger my smile grew and the firmer I stood when facing challenges ahead of me. Once a scared little girl I now laugh in the face of danger, high five it as I overcome it and walk forward with my head held high and a spring in my step for what’s coming next.
