On this morning the top surf photographers from around the world were lined up on the roadside at Waimea Bay, blasting away as the giant waves rolled in. I remember shooting thousands of images, but even more than that I remember the great conversations rolling back and down the line as we all looked through our lenses and watched the waves roll in from the wee hours of the morning until later that afternoon.
