Behind me, along the shoreline, there was some rustling in the bushes. I thought it was a bear checking me out, but the sounds were so quiet that I wasn't sure. I decided to let out a howl in case it was a wolf, and an entire pack of wolves surrounding the lake answered my call in the most beautiful howling session I have ever heard, with the northern lights dancing overhead.
