Here we have the moon setting over Breiðamerkurjökull around 9 a.m. in the Southern Region of Iceland. Since the daylight hours are so short, around four hours in total, the sun doesn’t rise until 11 a.m., blanketing the landscape in a cold, bluish color. Be sure to always hike glaciers with professionals, as they can be extremely dangerous if you don’t have the proper training.
