Grown up in an environment blessed with nutrient-rich mountains and waters, oysters in Itoshima island has a rep for their creamy and sweet taste. From the end of October to late March, some 20 Kakigoya (oyster huts) alongside the coastline of the island offer a hands-free and fuss-free barbecue-style experience for oyster lovers.
Oysters, sea snails, prawns, fish and all kinds of seafood will be served up super fresh at the restaurants. All the tools you need will also be available on-site so what you have to do is just simple - savour them with your favourite ways of cooking!
