At the beginning of the year, I decided I needed to create some boundaries in my life and relationships in the name of self-love. I suppose the best way to describe it is breaking old and destructive habits and patterns, being kind but no longer doing the most for people because you want them to like you. I've learnt to be more vocal about what I won't tolerate, and thought of my own toxic and negative patterns to others too and thought of how I can better myself or distance myself from the people who bring out that side of me. Creating boundaries is such an important thing for happiness, but it's also incredibly difficult, because a lot of people in your life don't like it when you stand up for yourself or change what you are prepared to put up with. But when people adapt to your boundaries and support your growth, it honestly transforms your personal relationships. Being able to say no also means you do the things you want to do with more positivity and that energy is contagious. And the users and abusers move on leaving more space for new friends on your vibe and level. ✨ I had the best weekend of my whole year this weekend with friends and family!
