Photo by @andy_bardon | After harvesting ripe agave from the outskirts of Guadalajara, Mexico, jimadors shave down the plants farther to prepare them for the process of tequila production. Boom-bust cycles occur within the tequila industry due to the availability of raw materials, creating sustainability challenges for workers. Consumers have begun requesting supply chain transparency to gain insight into the products they are purchasing and the communities they come from.
