At the time we were the only foreigners amongst the kindest of neighbors. Sometimes within walking distance the photography in Island of the Spirits were just there, like at our local Hindu temple. A short motor-scooter ride from home was this beautiful ceremony after prayers to the spirits beside Batu Bolong Temple on Canggu Beach, the priests blessing all with water…this rock only appears during low tide. Today feels just right to share this peaceful photograph on a day of giving thanks in the country I now live. I don’t accept the idea of single days in specialness, like Valentines day or Thanksgiving day to mentioned a few. Everyday, like in Bali, should be one of giving thanks and love to each other.
