I know how important it has to have a say in these upcoming elections on December 12th (by the way please make sure you register to vote before 26th November so you can have your say). I'd like to think I'm well-read, educated, passionate about certain topics, but the more I read about politics, the more I don't have a scooby. I think it's important to say this rather than pretend I know what's going on, cause I feel like if politicians don't know what's going on with Brexit etc how the hell are we meant to know? I just feel every single party is so out of touch, and is hiding behind smoke and mirrors, and I want someone fresh, new and HONEST. Can we discuss in a healthy way without this thread becoming a big argument? So here's my thing: I want to vote for a progressive party who aren't sat on the fence, who are doing enough to tackle racism (anti-Semitism), who aren't making ridiculous remarks about Grenfell victims. Who encourage and reward us to work hard, whilst supporting those of us not fortunate enough to be doing so. Who can help our NHS, who care about refugees and other humans in crisis so they don't have to die in the back of trucks. Who will condemn the growing rise in far-right hatred, and who care about the climate. I feel all that gets discussed is Brexit and I don't even know if there is a solution to that. I wish it hadn't happened but it's like a messy divorce, probably too late to forget the words that were spoken, but too complicated and expensive to make it official. 😆 I feel like I'm speaking one language, and politicians are speaking another.
