My life has been influenced by the people of the Himalaya. My first journey 1988 was about mountains. After being humbled by the paucity of air and cold temps, I was welcomed back to hospitable climes by kind and generous people. For these moments I reflect with gratitude.
Join us on the 7th of November 2019 in San Francisco for the annual dinner as Matthieu Ricard shares his insight into altruism and happiness. Mr Richard is a French writer, photographer, translator and Buddhist monk who resides at Shechen Tennyi Dargyeling Monastery in Nepal. Matthieu Ricard grew up among the personalities and ideas of French intellectual circles. He received a Ph.D. degree in molecular genetics from the Pasteur Institute in 1972. The connection between cultures is a thought process that benefits all.
