Barack Obama, who turns 58 today, chose the artist @kehindewiley to paint his Presidential portrait. Wiley began the process by looking at historical representations of kings, aristocrats, and other heads of state, but nothing was working. “It was all too demonstrative. It was all too self-aggrandizing,” he explained at last year’s @newyorkerfest. “And I recall, in between shots, there was a moment of repose where he was sitting essentially as he is here, and it felt authentic.” Tap the link in our bio to read more about Wiley’s process and the symbolism in Obama’s simple yet radical portrait. @rangewestgallery I’m neither. Ask yourself this. Perhaps Instead of me being the cynic and someone who needlessly projects, you’re a hopeless idealist and in desperate denial about a possible character trait of a personal hero

@cqwnurse yes I just dont agree at all with your opinion...that's all. He did nothing but divide america and became a traitor to america in many ways. HE is not dignified..he is very fake

I especially miss Obama when our country deals with tragedies. Although he’s no longer POTUS, he is still an amazing leader.
