I mean if you're going to quote him at least use the whole sentence in the second half of the quote. "You can't just do it when it's convenient and dodge it when it's not." Leaving that part out really changes the context, regardless of if one agrees with the statement or not. It makes me feel like the New Yorker is trying to manipulate people's perceptions instead of allowing them to draw their own conclusions.

@spottedoracle they literally cut this quote mid sentence. Adding the rest of the sentence, which was "...and dodge when it's not." completely changes the context. But based on most the comments here, it looks like this cherry picked partial quote successfully deceived people into thinking Booker was saying something entirely different.

Wasn't Biden Obama's VP? I thought he was? Wasn't he? Otherwise, Booker is right and ought not mention him as if they ran together and their record and liabilities were shared... Way to go, Sen Booker for spotting this and letting us know. Thank you!❤️❤️❤️

He will never be president and he is just running on the race card. He has nothing to offer but quips and giggles. Biden on the other hand has help make it possible for people like Booker to stand on that stage before it was popular so...NO

@steveangelica wow that’s racist as hell. Regardless of the facts, it was YOU who pointed out Robert’s skin color and told them they’re not wanted. You Racist intolerant bigot. You’re everything you hate.
