biochemismary @jenn_salcido Does a person need to be defined by every single action of their lives? Can we not look at a moment of time and recognize a woman that has become a common-day name, with endless inspiration to home cooks and blossoming women. She can be one thing - and also another. A woman can be a wonderful mother for twenty years and then rob a bank - does her parenting no longer see any sun because she caused a little rain? Let’s get real and let the woman be celebrated for everything that she was and (perhaps) everything that she wasn’t. Sounds like the un-white privilege of constant complaining.

dorisdownes Daughter of friend did a summer internship w her and I gave her meals and lodging free at my home. She packed lunch to take each day bc Martha didnt provide food or payment for her time. She finally met Martha for the first time on the last day of the program. Tight fisted- ripoff artist- boycotted her ever since.
