It’s also been a good few days since I last posted an image of my beloved swan cygnets so I thought it best to remedy that as well. Captured several weeks ago now, when they were perhaps just a week or so off the nest I’m posting this image simply because it is unusual for the cygnets to arrange themselves so neatly. Their norm, if and when I am graced with their presence at all, is to at all times all scoot around in random chaotic directions chasing flies or seeking guidance from their parents. The favourite game of the parents meanwhile is to watch their cygnets closely, paying close attention to when the cygnets are about to do something interesting, perhaps stand up and shake, perhaps form a nice neat line and when they see them do this the adults then likes to glide right in front of me!! 😃I’ve lost count of the number of times that I press the shutter, only for the resulting image to be nothing more than a blurred sea of white!! Fortunately on this occasion the parents were not on their game and I was able to capture a single frame before their gargantuan carcass sloped across in front of me and robbed me of another award winner! 😃 All joking aside frustration is simply part of the game in my business and I’ve long since stopped being irritated by lost images. Much easier for me to remember the astonishing amount of times that I’ve been lucky (see every image that I’ve ever taken!) and to instead be motivated by lost moments to either allow image ideas to develop and grow or to focus my attention on trying to capture it the next time, or the next, or the next…..」6月30日 4時40分
