My “little” 8 metre Fife from 1906. First in Porquerolles. Skipper Charlotte Franquet. Just arrived home victorious. I couldn’t make it, but hope to race next year. ecsslo405 I'd go sailing if it weren't for my irrational fear of discovering the hard way that mythical sea creatures aren't all mythical. Mermaid leaps/squirms aboard in mid tack, lovely figure but fangs and snake eyes, horrific screeching noises. Hostile intentions? No one is sure. I made up the term 'mid tack', not sure if it is proper nautical lingo. The thing where the sailboat is speeding along and everyone is up on the side.
