So the house I lived in for 26 years in Richmond is now sold. It’s been a wrench. Moving house is never any fun, but with it went the home studio (which I helped build for Ronnie Wood when he lived in the house before me in 1973) where I have produced a lot of my songs and quite a bit of commercial music. The console is a Neve BCM10 from 1970. I mixed LIVE AT LEEDS on it. I recorded the piano for LOVE REIGN O’ER ME on it. I did all the synthesiser backing tracks for QUADROPHENIA, the music for Ken Russell TOMMY movie, and BABA O’RILEY, WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN on it. This console has so much Mojo for me. I truly love it. I’ve rarely managed to get a bad sound out of it.
