This is the other side of my bathroom - okay so this was perfectly styled for a magazine, and today is slightly different. There are actual products on the shelves. .
This is where I do my “things” like my make up, my nails, anything that has to do with tweezers and other intimate things. .

I try to do most things at home because I just have no patience for beauty stuff. There is just always something to do if you want to look “polished” 🙄😂 - as much as I can, I try to not delegate all of it so that my life doesn’t become a series of grooming appointments.

I mean I love feeling polished, trust me. But I have no patience for a manicure, it drives me crazy. So I learned to make it simple, and do it myself. And pedicure too. Same with anything that has to do with body hair. Oh and hair hair (guys, there should be two different words for this like in French we have “poils” and “cheveux” - hair and hair is so not the same thing!!!) I am so glad I am letting my hair grow because it means less hairdresser.
I am the type to leave the hairdresser with my hair wet because I can’t stand the blow dryer half hour.
As for hair color, I am figuring this out, I’ll keep you in the loop. .

I don’t even like getting my make up done for shoots! And usually I tell the production to not even book a hairdresser.
Nothing against all these amazing professionals. It’s just me.

georgiana_lily Totally the same. I have no patience for mani pedi maintenance. I wear no makeup because I hate having to constantly reply lipstick, is my mascara smudge?. My hair is finally long so now a just wear it up in a bun away from my neck & shoulders. I barely have body hair so I don't have to fret over that type landscaping. The one thing I do splurge on is skincare products. And I absolutely recommend Facials. After moving to SF from New York. I started getting small freckles on my face. Even though its cooler here, the sun is still quite strong. So I'm always applying spf on my face. Facials to me are so important. I'm 45 now and I'm constantly asked how do I keep my skin looking smooth and firm. No matter how tire you are night alway cleanse your face. Wash with a gentle cleansers at in the evening and just cold water in the mornings. Moisturizer day and night.

mitzipepall I anticipate a visit to the hairdresser as I would a visit to the dentist. I had a panic attack during the one professional facial I ever had while left alone covered in cream, listening to tinkly music (give me Beethoven!)

kerriestella I’m a home beautician, too! I do my nails and toes and have recruited/forced my boyfriend to take over as my barber. I’m the opposite of you, I don’t think I’ll ever let my hair grow out again!

modestjerusalem Totally feel you on this. Nothing like keeping it simple at home. I like to use an essential oil diffuser when I do these types of things at home, it sets the homey vibe.
