Birds-of-Paradise have a reason to celebrate this year, because the Province of West Papua, where sixteen of the forty Birds-of-Paradise are found has declared their commitment to set aside 70% of their land as protected forest! Swipe to see three of these species that are found ONLY in West Papua, Indonesia: Wilson’s, Red, and Western Parotia Birds-of-Paradise. Birds-of-Paradise are the global ambassadors for conservation of the forests of Papua. Earth Day also happens to be coinciding with my being at home for a little while to sign prints, so we are offering a spring sale on some of my favorite Bird-of-Paradise images.
