I captured this image after many mornings of hiking up the mountain in the dark to get into a small blind, set up camera and wait. Even while concentrating on making the image, its hard not to break into a smile when you see this in person. I encourage any of you who can to make the trek to West Papua, where birdwatching is becoming an important source of local income, and incentive for people to protect their forest.
