I’m certainly more of a tomboy than a girly girl! I’ve never been one to accept compliments because I spent so many years of my youth being bullied for how I looked and those scars really stay with you. I have naturally dark blonde hair which is basically the colour of mud - if I dye it brown my roots come through too light but if I dye it blonde my roots come through too dark. With blue eyes and pale skin I’m an English Rose - yet I spent a huge part of my youth unable to make eye contact or speak to people because I felt too embarrassed. Life for me has been about breaking free of the fears which trapped me, finding myself and becoming comfortable in my skin. Whilst some people have helped me many have used and hurt me. But I am stronger now for every experience that I have been through. I may not fit the mould of what society says is ‘beautiful’ but I have made inner peace with my body and appearance and to me that is far more important.
