Forty years of passion, discoveries and encounters shaped Sylvain Lévy-Alban’s taste for 17th-century #decor and objects boasting beautiful provenances. The #Paris #antique dealer exhibited his pieces, first in his Right Bank #gallery, then on the Left Bank on Quai Voltaire, with the same taste that can be found in his #apartment near the Palais Royal and his country house in the #Perche.
Lévy-Alban formed friendships with leading collectors and interior designers – from Baroness Liliane de Rothschild to Jacques Garcia – who encouraged him to mix different styles and enhance the splendour of the architecture with fanciful and ornate English, Italian and Portugese pieces.
The exhibition of over 300 lots from his collection will go on view in our Paris galleries from 12 – 16 April, ahead of an #auction on 17 April.
