We’re looking forward to kicking off the Contemporary Art Day Sale in London with Rose Wylie’s vibrantly colourful ‘Listening to Miss S’. ?

Marking the first time Wylie’s work has come for sale at auction, the painterly brushstrokes and cartoon-like figures dance energetically across the picture plane. Simultaneously full of reference points and singing with ambiguity, the canvas embodies all the hallmarks of the artist’s idiosyncratic collage-like approach to painting.

The blissfully unruly work comes just after Wylie’s pivotal solo exhibition at the @serpentineuk in London earlier this year.
