This winter has been about re-establishing routines and cultivating new ones - adjusting my idea of what defines productivity and my understanding of achievable. I've gravitated toward those practices I know will get us through the remaining months of winter, babyhood and house renovations. And, while everyday isn’t always a win, one things we have been consistently winning at this winter is breakfast - In part, credit is due to this delicious recipe for overnight oats. This breakfast has been our baseline these last months. Changing up the toppings depending on what's in season, available or simply in my pantry. I'm currently loving toasted buckwheat kernels and blueberries, or a spoonful of blood orange compote, medjool dates and almonds but possibilities are endless. Part of the luxury of this breakfast is that the oats are made the night before, so in the morning all that's required is a quick stir and the addition of your favorite toppings, but those can also be prepped the night before - as a new mum, i'm learning the key to success is all about the prep
