Held my yearly Chap Goh Mei dinner with MPs, community leaders, and guests at the Istana last night.

The actual Chap Goh Mei, or the 15th and last day of #ChineseNewYear isn’t till next Tuesday. However Heng Swee Keat will be making the 2019 Budget Statement in Parliament on Monday, 18 February, so best to celebrate early as next week will be a very busy period.
The dinner gathering is a good opportunity for me to speak candidly with community and business leaders, explain the realities we face and why the Government has to do what we do. – LHL (MCI Photo by Fyrol)
