The way Natasha Lyonne sees it, New Yorkers are perpetually tempting fate — dodging the yellow cab, the Uber, the bicycle blocked from view by the double-parked truck. “Walking to work it’s like, oh, I really did nearly die 6 times today,” the star of the new dark @ネットフリックス comedy “Russian Doll” said. In @russiandollnetflix, which premieres February 1, @nlyonne plays a character who dies and dies and dies again, only to end up back where she started. The show, created with #AmyPoehler and @veryleslyeheadland, is Natasha’s first effort at writing and directing a series — but it won’t be her first time on #Netflix. Later this year, “Orange is the New Black,” which is entering its seventh season, will end. “That must feel pretty traumatic,” #nytimes reporter Kathryn Shattuck said to Natasha. “We really have our little tribe now, our allies for life,” Natasha said of her @oitnb castmates. “But yeah, it’s going to be very emotional.” At a photo studio in TriBeCa, New York, Kathryn sat down with Natasha to discuss her new projects and how it feels to be wrapping up her old ones.
