Photos from my business trip to Nihonmatsu City last week. I visited snowy Dairinji Temple, which is known for being the resting place of a group of teenage samurai who lost their lives in the bloody Battle of Nihonmatsu in the last year of the Boston War in 1868. The third photo shows some of their gravestones. This temple reminded me of Mt Iimori in Aizu Wakamatsu, which has a similar tragic story, but this area is much less known and was very peaceful
