Yamatsumi Jinja is a shrine in Itate Village in North-East Fukushima Prefecture. This shrine is quite unique because it celebrates wolves. In the shinto belief, wolves are thought of as bearing messages from the gods, and of offering protection against crop raids from wild animals.
