Did you know Grevy’s zebra (Equus grevyi) is the largest and most horse-like of the three living species of zebra? In fact, it’s the largest wild member of the Equidae family, which also includes horses and donkeys! Weighing up to 430 kilograms (950 pounds), it’s distinguished by narrow stripes, a white rump, and broad, black-edged ears. Primarily a grazer, it lives in arid country in parts of Ethiopia and Kenya, where it snacks on grasses, bark, and fruit.
