Bought myself some Gap Yar pants and I'm not sorry because I love them! ??❤️
Spent the day in this paradise after staying at Kendwa Rocks last night. Whilst an indoor shower, a towel, and listening to Frank Sinatra by the pool have been delightful, I'm excited to get back to hostel life tonight. ?❤️?? I'm getting lots of messages with questions about travelling here, so I thought I'd answer the main ones on here and maybe I can do a live stream when I'm back in the land of strong wifi?
??Is Zanzibar safe for solo travelling? - like anywhere in the world, you have to be more careful when travelling alone but providing you don't walk alone at night and flash your cash around I'd definitely feel comfortable coming here alone, especially if you stay in hostels so you meet people and can attach to them. The locals are very honest people but they said people come from the mainland to steal from tourists so you need to be a little savvy.
?? Should I stay in a resort or a hostel?
- this is really down to personal preference. Personally I like to travel around the island and move from hostel to hostel because you meet other young travellers and I feel that in a resort you could be anywhere in the world. But it depends what kind of holiday you want and if you're prepared to let go of a little luxury. Most hostels are as nice as a 3 star hotel and so much more fun!
?? How do you get around? - there are the public buses to get around cheaply, if you don't mind being squashed up and shaken around. We've been getting taxis which are everywhere - just make sure you haggle a good price. ?? Would I recommend Zanizbar? - yes and yes again! It's such an amazing place, although I think Mexico still holds the most special place in my heart. Anything else, feel free to ask away. ❤️
