It’s easy to say the thoughts above but it’s another thing to grasp when reality is harsh. The truth is that the hardest parts of my reality pale in comparison to some of the unthinkable horrors that many in the world are facing. What would you say if you were looking at someone first hand who is in the thick of it? I wouldn’t tell them that life is breathtakingly beautiful in that moment. But I would hope in my heart that somehow someway through the hardest things that everyone faces on varying scales, we would all come through it with the first hand experience that in spite of it and through it, life is indeed a gift and beautiful too.
