When PR and marketing firm founder Malcolm Carfrae and advertising executive John Wattiker decided against moving out of their petite Greenwich village apartment, they enlisted designer Alex Caratachea to renovate the space into a spacious and open home. The apartment, as seen in our December issue, proves the power of a reimagined layout and a great eye for design. In the kitchen, the counter-bar is of Carrara marble, the barstools are by CB2, and the pendants are by Tom Dixon. The custom cabinets are painted in Benjamin Moore’s Jet Black.
