Thinking of snowy days ahead ❄️. Like Monet and Sisley, Camille Pissarro was drawn to the challenges of capturing the subtleties of winter light, crispy air and reflective qualities of the snow-covered landscape. The energetic brushwork and strong contrast between pigments in the artist’s ‘Route enneigée avec maison, environs D'eragny’ evoke the proto-Pointilist style Pissarro developed in the 1880s, when this work was completed.
