Today I bought homemade candles called “Norwegian Woods” from @cera_una_bolla. I bought them online, with having seen or smelled them. I was “lured in” by the promotional message as only the dream client of any business would do; “Take a walk with us in the Norwegian woods, where the grass is covered with dew and the chilly wind smells like snow. It’s a romantic and melancholic tale, covered in a thick blanket”. I didn’t need to smell that candle. I HAVE walked in those very woods. My bare feet and curious fingertips have brushed away the dew off that grass. I have filled my lungs with that salty wind, swishing over the North Sea. I have lived — though partially — Norway.
At last, two months after my return, I feel like I am ready to tale to the story of a journey I have felt many contradicting emotions about. The tale of my summer spent in a secluded nordic farm will soon be on the blog. 🌲🇳🇴
